A 70th anniversary screening of SALT OF THE EARTH will take place on Oct 27, featuring a reunion of the children of the blacklisted, pro-union film's creators.

 A captivating new play chronicling the journey of a clerical sexual abuse survivor from Philadelphia makes its New York premiere at The NY Irish Center, 1040 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, for two nights, Wednesday and Thursday September 25 & 26 (both at 7pm).  

The work’s premiere at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum feels like a couple of different narratives – along with a screed or two – stuffed into a single evening. It’s an identity quest! It’s a perilous journey to motherhood! It’s a rumination/condemnation on what it means to be Latino! It’s a…circus?

A new production of Into the Woods, the classic Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, is now playing at the Greenway Court Theatre. While WENDY’S PETER PAN would be better served by trimming the fat, focusing on more sharpened performances, and allowing its performers room to breathe, children, despite its evening start time, will likely appreciate the show more than adults who will take notice of its distracting bumps and peculiarities.
