Soul to Soul is a powerful cross-cultural concert produced by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, celebrating the connections between African-American and Jewish musical traditions. Taking place on January 19, 2025, at the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, the concert features performances by acclaimed artists including Magda Fishman, Lisa Fishman, Elmore James, and Sam McKelton. This year's edition honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with a children's choir and special guests such as Freedom Rider Peter A. Geffen and Congressman Ritchie Torres. The program blends Yiddish folk and klezmer music with African-American spirituals, accompanied by historical imagery and video from the Civil Rights movement.
