Broadway’s David Sabella returns to Feinstein’s/54 Below, with a special program celebrating the life and music of Peter Allen. With special guest star Lorna Luft (the daughter of Judy Garland and Sid Luft, and Peter Allen’s former sister-in-law) and her husband, Music Director Colin Freeman, (with arrangements by Mark Hartman), Sabella sheds new light on the life and times of the legendary singer/songwriter responsible for such 80s hits as "Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)," "I Honestly Love You," and "Don’t Cry Out Loud." David Sabella is best known for his co-starring performance in Chicago The Musical, with Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, and Joel Grey. He is an award winning singer and actor, having won the 2022 MAC award for “Major Male Artist” and an “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play” award for the off-Broadway production of The Phillie Trilogy. He has also appeared in opera houses and concert halls throughout the US and Europe, including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, and was a winner of the 1995 Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, where Maestro Pavarotti publicly declared him to be “Excellent… not good, Excellent!” Please note that all artists and acts are subject to change at any time. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter the club.
