The Re-Imagined Doris Duke Theatre, set to open at Jacob's Pillow in June 2025, will feature the works of prominent Indigenous artists as a core part of its design. Brenda Mallory, a Cherokee Nation artist, will present a visual art installation in the lobby that explores themes of disruption and interconnections within nature. Additionally, Stockbridge-Munsee members Misty Cook and Kathi Arnold will create a garden inspired by Indigenous traditions, while Andre StrongBearHeart Gaines Jr. will develop a fire pit area for gatherings, all designed to weave Indigenous culture into the theatre's landscape.
