Meet First Lady Dolley Madison in Chit Chat with Dolley Madison™, a fascinating first-person performance presented by History At Play™, LLC. A historic opportunity to converse with one of the most esteemed First Ladies in United States history, Presidentress Dolley Madison is coming to St. Margaret's Church's "Open Your Hearts" Charity Event. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity offers visitors the chance to have a tête-à-tête with the Presidentress; permitting them to ask questions no one else could answer but the First Lady herself. Let Dolley regale you with tales of escaping the White House during the British attack on Washington City and protecting the portrait of His Excellency George Washington. If you are fortunate, you may even be invited to one of Dolley’s famous “squeezes”. Pre-registration required. For reservations, email Maria at mteager@burlington.org. Kalaora is the Founder and Artistic Director of History At Play™, LLC. Founded in 2010, HAP chronicles the lives of influential and often forgotten figures. Kalaora is a professional educator, award-winning playwright, and living historian. Graduating Syracuse University Magna cum Laude, Kalaora completed the Globe Education Program of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London, UK. As a New England Foundation for the Arts touring artist; Kalaora is a recipient of Massachusetts Cultural Council awards; a four-time winner of the Bob Jolly Charitable Trust Grant; the 2019 recipient of the Dr. Bobby Gilmer Moss Lectureship Series Award, granted by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution; and the 2021 winner of the Women in the Arts Award, bestowed by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
