Nov 18th and 19th- 7:30pm, Nov 19th and 20th- 2pm. Haverhill City Hall Auditorium Kander & Ebbs' musical play dedicated to "Greed, Corruption, Murder and Mayhem!" Chicago in the 1930's is the setting for this classic musical; reimagined and restaged by Bob Fosse in the mid 1990's, "Chicago" is still playing on Broadway! Originally produced in 1975 featuring Chita Rivera and Gwen Verdon,the show follows the fictional story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly as they rise to fame amid ther mutual murder convictions. Garnering the Tony for Best Musical Revival in 1996, "CHICAGO" also won the Best Picture Oscar in 2002. Known for it's classic Kander and Ebb score, "CHICAGO is a blockbuster hit..."and all that jazz!"
