Join the Boise Phil in a journey through three distinct musical landscapes. This program kicks off with Rossini’s William Tell Overture – a piece widely recognized as the theme to The Lone Ranger. However, there is more to this work than its famous finale. The Boise Phil will transport you to the Swiss Alps during an impending storm. You’ll hear the storm in full swing, the calm after the storm, and finally a march of victorious Swiss soldiers. Be among the first to experience Jimmy López Bellido’s symphony, Altered Landscape which considers our relationship with nature, the impact we have on it, and what the future looks like. Finally, imagine the sheer grandeur of the Czech countryside in Dvoák’s famous violin concerto. Close your eyes and hear the expansive rolling hills, tranquil sunsets, and spirited folk dances brought to life by Boise Phil Concertmaster Brendan Shea! Tickets to this performance at The Morrison Center are available on the Boise Phil’s website, boisephil.org. Discounted student tickets are available.
