ANTIGONE by Sophocles directed by Mari Andrea Travis As Theatre Morgan celebrates our Golden year, we bring the Golden Age of Greek theatre to Baltimore, demonstrating that the story of war and family turmoil is a universal one, as is the strength of a resolute woman. Two brothers repping opposite sides in a turf war have been killed in the struggle. The newly appointed kingpin has declared that one brother will be honored and the other snubbed as a traitor. Antigone is determined to pay homage to and honor both brothers, and risks her own life by defying the new kingpin’s order and burying her disgraced brother’s body.
