American League Championship Series on TBS Average More Than 5.9 Million Viewers

TBS' exclusive coverage of the American League Championship Series (ALCS), between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees, averaged 5,924,000 total viewers, an increase of 28 percent over last year's average of 4,612,000 total viewers for the network's coverage of the National League Championship Series (NLCS). The network's ALCS coverage averaged a 3.8 U.S. household rating, up 31 percent over an average 2.9 U.S. household rating for the NLCS last year.

Growing week to week in the 8 o'clock hour against CBS' top-rated comedies (The Big Bang Theory/Two and a Half Men), ABC freshman Last Resort took second place in viewers and young adults, finishing well ahead of Fox's MLB National League Championship and continued to dominate NBC's comedies (30 Rock/Up All Night). The biggest percentage gainer via DVR playback for any 8pm show, ABC's Last Resort shot up by 2.7 million viewers and by 46% (+1.0 rating) in Adults 18-49 from the next-day L+SD numbers to the final L+7 numbers.
