Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Stephen Karam's The Humans featuring Cassie Beck ,Reed Birney, Jayne Houdyshell, Lauren Klein, Arian Moayed and Sarah Steele, just opened earlier this week, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, the show might have a life after off Broadway. David Rooney writes that producer Scott Rudin will transfer the production (full cast included) to Broadway in 2016.

The theatre auctioned off tickets to the show's opening night on Broadway as a part of its 2015 gala, teasing: 'See it in Cambridge before it heads to NYC!' Casting has not yet been announced, but a recent NYC workshop was led by Tony winner Jessie Mueller, Keala Settle, Bryce Pinkham, Christopher Fitzgerald, Barrett Wilbert Weed, and Eric Anderson.

When the Public Theatre announced HAMILTON's third extension earlier this month, rumors fizzled that the show would in fact transfer to Broadway in time for the 2015 Tony Awards eligibility cut off. Just today, however, the Public announced a special event for tomorrow afternoon, at which the 'HAMILTON creative team, producers and company along with the Public Theater staff at a special gathering to celebrate this new musical.' Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, who will soon return to Broadway in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, is known to the theatre community as Tonys Host Extraordinaire, having hosted the ceremony a whopping four times. Harris was just honored at the Drama League's Winter Gala, and according to the New York Post, he revealed there that because of his Broadway commitments, he won't return to his hosting gig in 2014. He commented: 'Because of 'Hedwig,' I can't emcee the Tonys. But I can now be home with our two kids. Family for me is very important.'

Two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster starred in the Encores! Off-Center presentation of VIOLET back in July, and BroadwayWorld has just learned the the star will lead the show on Broadway in the Spring of 2014. Foster, who was previously set to play Sarasota's Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, had to cancel her March engagement because of a scheduling conflict with the upcoming production.
