Rialto Chatter: West End GYPSY Starring Imelda Staunton to Be Filmed for Broadcast, Release?September 15, 2015According to an email sent to a ticket buyer and alerted to BroadwayWorld.com, plans are underway for the BBC to film the London production during the first week of October for potential broadcast and release. Harris was just honored at the Drama League's Winter Gala, and according to the New York Post, he revealed there that because of his Broadway commitments, he won't return to his hosting gig in 2014. He commented: 'Because of 'Hedwig,' I can't emcee the Tonys. But I can now be home with our two kids. Family for me is very important.'
Breaking: Sutton Foster to Return to Broadway This Spring in VIOLET!November 18, 2013Two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster starred in the Encores! Off-Center presentation of VIOLET back in July, and BroadwayWorld has just learned the the star will lead the show on Broadway in the Spring of 2014. Foster, who was previously set to play Sarasota's Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, had to cancel her March engagement because of a scheduling conflict with the upcoming production.
