Georgia premier! An intimate look at the father of the modern musical, Stephen Sondheim, originally conceived and directed by his friend and collaborator James Lapine. The show features new arrangements of Sondheim's most beloved works. Through the use of exclusive interview footage, the audience will get an inside look at the famed composer of such works as West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Assassins, and more. The cast is composed of some of the Atlanta area's best singer/actors. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this cast together on one stage! This production is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards, an organization which recognizes actors, directors, designers, and theater companies for their contribution to performing arts in metro Atlanta. Awards in 18 categories are presented at a formal ceremony each August.
