On Your Feet!, a Broadway sensation chronicling the lives and music of 26-time Grammy Award-winning husband-and-wife team Gloria and Emilio Estefan, is hitting Aurora Theatres mainstage March 5 April 12! Told with the authenticity that only Gloria and Emilio can convey with their own music and lyrics and woven together by the book by Alexander Dinelaris, audiences will be moved by the inspiring true story in this Southeastern premiere of the smash hit! From humble beginnings in Havana to international superstardom, Gloria and Emilio Estefan changed the music industry forever. Audiences will experience the inspiring true story of two people whose belief in their art and determination created a new crossover genre of music. This musical hit is a dance party that features all of the well-known, favorite songs including Rhythm is Gonna Get You, 1-2-3, Conga, Turn the Beat Around and many more!"As a Cuban-American who works hard every day to achieve my dreams and helps other artists achieve theirs, Emilio and Gloria Estefans story resonates with me in a very personal way. said Anthony Rodriguez, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Aurora Theatre. The Miami Sound Machine was an integral part of my teenage years, so while the show highlights the idea of the American dream, and the unique struggles we face in the pursuit of that dream, mostly, I am excited at how hard it will be to keep audiences from dancing in the aisles. The production is led by the award-winning creative team: Director Justin Anderson (Aurora Theatre Associate Artistic Director), Musical Director Ann-Carol Pence (Aurora Theatre Co-Founder and Associate Producer) and choreographer Chani Maisonet. Aurora Theatres On Your Feet! showcases a stunning cast. Broadway luminaries Maria Bilbao and Max J. Cervantes make their Aurora Theatre debuts as Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The role of Gloria Fajardo will be played by Lilliangina Quinones, and Felicia Hernandez stars as Consuelo. Little Gloria will be played by Chiara Bulkin and Aubrey Christopoulos and little Emilio by Jaycee Villalobos and Isaac Aguilar. The ensemble includes CJ Babb, Conner Kocks, Maya Quinones, Arusi Santi, Marcello Audino, Danny Bevins, Damian Pastrana, Michael Crute, Patrick Coleman, Isaac Fenwick, Elijah Izaguirre, Geanna Funes, "Gaby" Gabriela Antunez, Angelique Alvarez, Pablina Lopez, Ayana DuBose, Miche Smith, Brandon Weber, Kristin Talley and Jacky Segui. On Your Feet! will play at Aurora Theatre March 5 April 12, with discount matinees on Tuesday, March 17 and March 24 at 10 a.m. Tickets are currently on sale; single tickets start at $30 and may be purchased online at bit.ly/OnYourFeetTickets or by calling the Box Office at 678-226-6222.
