Campfire Radio Theater has released a new audio drama from playwright Cameron Scott entitled West Palm Readers. The story is set in New York City in a tarot and palm reading storefront in present day Times Square. Run by a pair of husband-and-wife grifters looking to make one last score, this newest Campfire Radio Theater drama takes a turn when a wealthy and mysterious new client enters their lobby. West Palm Readers marks the latest release for the award-winning audio drama horror anthology.

Written by Cameron Scott and produced and directed by John Ballentine, West Palm Readers stars lead actors Melissa Medina, Owen McCuen and Karim Konfli with original music scored by Kevin Hartnell. Cameron Scott sold his first of several short stories while an undergraduate at New York University. His play Uphill was nominated for eight 2023 BroadwayWorld Regional Theater Awards including Best Play and was a Best in Festival winner at Wilmington Drama League. Scene Ten from Uphill was published last December in The Best Men's Stage Monologues 2023 (Smith & Kraus). His previous audio drama That Day is Coming, Every Day is Coming was the most downloaded play of 2023 for Open Door Playhouse and will be physically staged this January by Rhode Island Stage Ensemble. Both plays were presented earlier this year in an evening of one act plays produced by The Road Theatre Company in Los Angeles, California.

Campfire Radio Theater is the creation of John Ballentine and has been a leading audio drama horror anthology since 2011, utilizing a full cast of first-rate voice talent combined with cinematic sound design. This award-winning anthology of horror harkens back to a bygone era of radio drama while wrapped in a thoroughly contemporary package. Each episode is a full stereo production and listening with quality earbuds is recommended. Campfire Radio Theater can be heard free at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pandora or wherever you listen to podcasts.
